Soooo I've basically been on call all fucking day and all fucking last night. So dead lol.
^Me right now. And what do I get for all my effort to stay awake? We've ended up going with a plan for a 5(Josh)-3(Someone Palermo)-1(Nav)-1(Albee) vote.
What in the actual fuck.
I'll explain in greater detail later (playing OLS atm). Its been a rollercoaster of Albee freakouts, tie vote paranoia, and my tribe lying to everyone.
My plan at this point is basically just stay out of the way. I've let Albee and Kate/Patrick handle most of the lying to make a fucking 5-3-1-1 vote happen because I don't really care which tribe wins this vote and tbh I'm really sad we're voting against Josh. I just really really really hope its not me.
At this point all I can do is pray that I make merge with the least amount of blood on my hands as possible.

Sorry this confessional is really late! Between the vote, the merge, work, and bawling my eyes out like the hypocritical wannabe sociopath I am, I just haven't had time. I'll post it after my shift.

So I guess I'll start this confessional the same way I start all my confessionals nowadays.
We lost the challenge. Again.
Palermo's getting targeted at tribal council. Again.
We need a miracle to survive. Again.
Fortunately that "miracle" came in the form of Jack and Albee getting into a random fight during the challenge. I've talked to both of them since then, but both are so dramatic that I still don't understand what the fuck the fight was about. Doesn't really matter though, any drama that doesn't involve me is good in my eyes. And it was good, because Jack immediately wanted to work with Palermo to vote out Albee.
Knowing that Palermo was far less likely to flip in a revote than they were, Trapani got scared. Real scared. I say that because I got a call from almost every single one of them back to back immediately after the challenge ended. It's great being popular.
First up was Tom, who called me as soon as the challenge ended to discuss what would happen in a tie. Tom is smart, well connected, or (most likely) both because he immediately knew that a) Jack would side with Palermo, b) his own name was likely to be thrown around for the vote and c) of all the Palermos I was the most likely to flip to avoid rocks. Granted, I haven't really been hiding the fact that I'm the "odd one out" of Palermo. In fact, I've pretty much been broadcasting that fact at every opportunity rofl. But still, good job Tom. If you manage to get rid of me you might win this season.
Anyways Tom basically told me that if it tied "one of us" should flip in a revote. Obviously I knew which "one of us" he was suggesting, but it was still good to discuss possibilities. Believe it or not, most people in this game aren't that great at talking strategy. So that was kind of refreshing. I ended it by just saying we'll wait and see how the vote goes, I don't really want to flip but I'd be willing to in order to avoid rocks.
That conversation had just ended when I get a call from Albee. Oh Albee (Albie? Idk the spelling keeps changing). Albee's kind of hilarious in the fact that he doesn't do small talk, so he basically only talks to me when he needs something. Obviously Albee realized he was in trouble. Right off the bat he tells me he'd be willing to flip if my tribe targets someone else. I assure him I'll do what I can because I don't want him to go. I don't trust Albee at all (hell, I know he has similar deals with almost everyone else on my tribe), but I do want him to stay because the more chaos there is in the game the better off I am. And no one does chaos better than Albee.
^Except Kass. Albee aint got nothing on Chaos Kass <3
Anyways at that point I get a call from Nav. He straight up told me that Tom told him to ask me if I'd be willing to flip. Lol. Basically just a friendlier repeat of the conversation I had with Tom. Kinda a waste of time but Nav is cool so whatever.
I was just about to go to bed when I get another fucking call, this time from Kate/Sara. Apparently Sara is ALSO willing to flip on her tribe. Honestly I can barely remember what we talked about because I was like half asleep. Basically Kate/Sara had decided something while they were on call and for some reason wanted to drag me into it. It's a good thing I don't give a fuck about the secret girl's alliance because otherwise I'd be really offended at how obvious it was that I'm the "third". As per usual, I let Kate talk strategy while I just sat there and looked pretty (or, more accurately, looked slightly homeless and tired as fuck).
So the next morning I was happily drinking my chai latte when I get another call from Albee. He wants to flip and vote with us, but then again he doesnt trust us, but then again he doesn't wanna get voted out, but then again he doesn't want a target on his back for flipping. I spent about an hour trying to calm him down before I called for backup aka my tribe so that we could all reassure him that we wanted to work with him.
Crazy paranoid as he is, Albee was our best bet to flip because while Jack (despite his status stating he was online) wasnt responding to any our messages. He has since said he was taking a nap, but we all assumed he had flipped to Trapani because that was the reason Justin went quiet during the last vote. Sara had told Patrick she was 100% willing to flip, but of course it's Sara so we had no idea what her true intentions were. She had said she was voting for Nav the previous round and (fortunately) didn't. It'd be stupid to trust her at this point, so Patrick and Kate told her we were booting Nav just in case.
And so, basically all day was spent on call with Albee. First he wanted to flip, then he didn't, then he'd only flip in a revote, then he finally decided he would flip in the first vote if it was against Josh.
As soon as Josh's name was brought up, I was like
I mean there was no way I was gonna be 100% good with the vote as the choices were limited to Josh, Tom, and Nav. But Josh is probably the only person I met this game that I actually wanted to be friends with after the game is over. And two days after we made an alliance I was already voting him out.
I probably could have switched the vote target to someone else. I definitely could have flipped my vote.
But I didn't. I didn't even fight it. I just said "yeah that's fine with me".
I figured Josh had to go now because he'd win if he made it to the end. Nobody (except apparently Albee) wanted to target him, so if he had stayed around any longer I'd have to choose between winning and voting him out.
And honestly, despite my fear of failure I probably wouldn't have been able to vote him out.
So I was hoping it'd be like a bandaid, better to rip it off immediately before it gets worse.
Still didn't stop me from crying like a 2 year old. Idk if it was the lack of sleep, huge pangs of guilt, or both. I'm sure I'll get over it, it's just one of those votes that makes me hate myself. You really have to be a sociopath to play these games well. I'll have to work on that.
^Please teach me your ways, Brian
Anyways, we went on call one last time to finalize everything. We named ourselves the "Suicide Squad" (I hate alliance names but it was Albee's idea so we had to go along with it) and submitted our votes.
The last hour I just went offline because a) I had OLS to worry about, b) I didn't wanna lie to anyone just before the vote, and c) at that point I was certain I wasn't in danger so no need for me to stick around.
I come back to like 6 different people trying to message me of course. Worst of all was Tom, who even sent me a message on the board as well.
And so I went on call with Tom one last time to reveal that Josh was the one getting votes. Idk if he knew beforehand or not (I'm guessing not, because he was spamming me with messages) but he didn't play an idol if he had one.
However, the one good thing about this round is we finally reached merge! I think I'm in a fairly good position (at least for the first vote.) and even if I'm not, at least I made jury. But more on that next episode.
Oh, also Dejuan got booted. Lmao. #Dejuan4AllStars

Oh, one more thing. During one of the many calls with Albee, Albee pretended to go "on hold" but really just turned off video and tried to listen in. Like, I don't think he even bothered to mute because we kept hearing background noises.
And so, Stephen and I spent a good 10 minutes talking about how much we loved Albee, and how awesome this plan was.
It was kinda hilarious.
