I feel like this confessional is going to take forever. So much has happened, so I wont list every single call I've had because its just been a revolving door of calls.
So last tribal Dejuan was kicked, Josh made jury, and the rest of us merged. Yesss! Finally!
^Omg these people let me make merge/jury! Yay!
I much prefer merge to premerge because it gives me so many more options. Options are always a good thing. I knew I was dead if Palermo had gone to tribal on our own. Now? I have the whole playing field at my disposal. It's like a puzzle with 11 pieces, just have to figure out how to put it together in a way that benefits me.
The feudalism twist does throw a wrench into things, as will the recommunication twist (whatever that means). But more on that later.
Flashback to after the last vote. Palermo went on call after tribal to celebrate our continued existence. It was fun! Everyone is really cool. However, they continued to make it pretty obvious I'm on the bottom of the totem pole. I show up and they're like “by the way, Bryce and Tom are the next two votes, then Albee”. I mean, I want Tom and Bryce gone too but at least have the decency to pretend I have a say in the decision. I guess I should feel lucky I was invited to the call at all, as Sara and Albee weren't.
Palermo won't get to call the shots at all if they keep losing the numbers. I'm very rarely the “alliance leader” in games, but when I am keeping the swing votes is something I dont overlook. Albee is definitely frustrated that Palermo obviously doesnt include him in anything. Sara insisted that she was “so happy” to be out of the loop and told to vote Nav, but everyone and their mother should know thats total bullshit. Whatever. The more Palermo alienates people the less of a target there is on me.
Speaking of people Palermo has alienated, I've been talking to Tom more and more the last 2 days. Or rather, he keeps talking to me. I feel like Josh was kind of his rock in the game, and now that he's gone Tom is trying to latch onto whatever or whoever he can. It seems to be working though, as Tom has been rallying the troops against Palermo to form a giant 7 person alliance (which, Albee also named the suicide squad rofl).
This suicide squad consists of several different groups, including:
Core New Trapani (Tom/Nav + Albee?)
Navlise (Nav+Elise)
Catania Strong (Jack, Justin, Tom, Elise)
New Messina Minus Dejuan (Bryce, Jack, Justin)
Endure Survivors (Bryce, Tom, Jack)
Double Suicide Squad Members (Albee, Elise)
New BFFs for some reason (Bryce, Nav)
And many more separate alliances I'm sure (listing all the final 2's Tom likely has would take way too much time). Guess this is the result of feudalism + one world + the most OTT cast ever. The thing is, not everyone particularly likes or trusts one another. Not to mention Jack/Albee still hate each other apparently. But that's why I feel like this group might be the best place for me for now.
The other possibility is to stick with the Palz (Kate, Stephen, Patrick, Elise + Albee + Sara), but honestly I think that'd be suicide. If the Palz continue on the path they're on, even if I'm with them they're gonna lose Albee and Sara as allies. However, I don't want to completely screw them over either. Tom and Bryce are gonna be ridiculously hard to get out, and the Palz might be among the few willing to put votes on either one of them. This may be hard though, as Kate has a tendency to curse out whoever dare her.
Anyways my plan is to be bffs with Albee and walk the fine line in the middle. Albee is definitely a wild card for now, but in the last round I feel like we've gotten a lot closer. Both of us are in an awkward spot, and it'd benefit both of us to secretly work together. Both of us agree that Sara would be the ideal boot this week. Albee thinks shes sketchy, and I agree. But I also think shes a good choice because a) she's really attached to Kate (and not me), b) she has connections to people on both sides as well which lessens my value c) she's awful and should have gone home ages ago.
^Forget you, go home, goodbye
I didn't expect to work so closely with Albee but I think we're on the same page for now. Who knows? Maybe Albee will become the honorary successor to Teto and Andalib as the "person Elise secretly protects the entire game". Really, the only qualification for that role is to a) vote who I tell you to and b) continue to piss off everyone else in the game. I guess I've gotten into the habit of working with the the OTTN types because 1) they tend to be good goats, 2) theyre not afraid to take risks and 3) they tend to isolate themselves to the point that I'm the only person with the patience to deal with them, and as such they become loyal to only me.
I suppose regular "inv" goats could work as well but they're just not as fun. Also since weirdly enough being the swing vote is my comfort zone, I need someone who is willing to take just as many risks as I am. But someone who isn't as good as it, so if god forbid something happen they'd be the one to fall before me.
I feel like I probably shouldn't be writing this in confessional just before Survivor Chronicles All Stars. Oops. Love you Tommy/Brandon/Lindsay/Josh/Nav/Stephen/Yap/Derek/Kate/Anthony/JMoney/OtherChroniclesPeopleWhoMayBeInThePWLounge. I totally wont screw any of you over.
Well since I'm inevitably gonna be booted first in SC All Stars anyways, let's continue!
Onto the challenge! This week it was a complicated form of coconut chop. Normally I feel like this would be a really intense challenge, but because of the twist (the immune player doesn't go to tribal council) literally every single person in the game was trying to throw it. With the numbers so close, no one can afford to lose even one vote. Have you ever tried to play coconut chop when everyones throwing it? It's a fucking shitshow.
Palermo all worked together to lower our own health, as did the other group. However, the 7 person suicide squad (me, albee, tom, nav, jack, justin, bryce) were actually all on call at the time. Since Sara was the target, we wanted to make Stephen win because he was the least likely to give her immunity. Tom came up with the great idea to wait until everyone on Palermo was under 10 points and hit us all with large cannons at the same time. Then they'd eliminate each other until there was only stephen and one of them left, and run out the clock so Stephen won. It was actually a great bonding experience to all work together to ensure our failure. Who knew?
^Congratulations! We all suck!
Anyways I guess I should wrap up this confessional with my future plans. I feel like I'm probably safe this vote. As of now its gonna be Palermo voting Nav and 7 Suicide Squad doing a 4-3 split between Sara and Kate (in case Sara has an idol). While writing this confessional it has come to my attention that Bryce told Sara the vote was Kate, and she's tried to flip it to me lol. Bitch. But as long as every other person in the game needs my vote I should be fine.
Next vote will probably be a lot more hectic for me because I'll have inevitably screwed over one side or the other. Gotta start thinking of how to do damage control on that already. Ugh. But, if I can either a) try to stay out of the drama or b) take out anyone who could get rid of me, I think I should be okay.
I got really sad over the Josh vote, but I'm done with that shit now. Everything that happens opens up the door to more opportunities. Now that we've merged to be the beautifully named Andruba tribe, I feel like its a clean slate for me to work with. I may not have any close allies or majority alliance, but if I can maintain the chaos long enough for me to slip through I may have a chance at this. It doesn't matter if Palermo curses my name. It doesn't matter if I ruin any friendships made with the 7. I played this game to win, and to win only.
^Take it away, Lord Baelish.
If you aren't here to win, why play.
